Coach Jaime Medina graduated from Point Loma High School in 2016. During his high school career, he was Western League Kicker of the Year in 2013, 2014 and 2015. He earned his 5 star rating as a punter with Chris Sailer Kicking, ranking as the #11 punter in the 2016 class. He earned PWO offers from programs like Alabama, Nevada and Sacramento State. In May 2016, the in-state D1 FCS Sacramento State Hornets landed one of the top combo prospects in the nation. He started as a true freshman at Sac State going 7/9 FG with career long 42 yards & 41.6 yard punt average in only 7 games played.

In 2018, his career continued at Southwestern College where he became one of the nation's top kicking recruits, earning a 5 star ranking with Chris Sailer and being the #2 kicker in America (#1 Junior College prospect in Nation). He earned multiple scholarship offers from programs like Texas Tech, SDSU, USC, Penn State and Nicholls State.
